Our Curriculum
Bespoke Learning
At East Street Farm School, our curriculum is designed to nurture both academic progress and personal development. We offer a bespoke, three-pathway curriculum model (engagement, functional and academic), that supports students across a wide range of abilities and needs at both primary and secondary levels.
Each pathway is flexible, inter-changeable, regularly reviewed and underpinned by our values: Nurturing Belonging, Supporting Growth, Inspiring change. We tailor learning experiences to help each student discover their unique strengths and grow at a pace that is ambitious yet supportive.
Our curriculum offers a creative adaptation of the National Curriculum, including GCSEs, functional skills, entry level and vocational courses. Creative arts and therapies, such as music, art and drama, foster emotional literacy and self-expression. Vocational learning in animal care, horticulture and cooking builds life skills and independence. Outdoor education strengthens confidence, resilience and teamwork. A consistent focus on communication and therapeutic support runs through the curriculum, helping students develop social skills, confidence, emotional regulation alongside academic achievement.
We create individualised timetables that consider the sensory, emotional and academic needs of each student. This approach allows us to provide the appropriate balance of learning, therapy and enrichment activities throughout the day.
