Student Journey

Joining Our School

We understand that starting a new school can be a significant step for both students and families. At East Street Farm, we take great care to ensure this process is calm, positive and well-supported.

Each transition is personalised, with a carefully planned timetable that builds trust and confidence. Our team works closely with families, professionals and previous settings to ensure continuity of support and a smooth handover. Our outreach workers play an active role in this process, supporting students before they start and helping them settle into their new routine.

Careers Education

East Street Farm offers a comprehensive Careers Education, Information, Advice and Guidance (CEIAG) programme for students in years 7 to 11. This programme is designed to be impartial and engaging, aiming to develop high aspirations and encourage students to consider a broad and ambitious range of career options. It is tailored to meet the diverse needs and requirements of our students, supporting their abilities, strengths and skills throughout their time at the school.

Careers Leadership and Responsibility

Responsibility for Careers Education, Information, Advice and Guidance (CEIAG) currently sits with the Head of Education, who oversees the strategic development and delivery of careers provision across the school. Our focus is on building independence, self-belief and readiness for the future.

East Street Farm School welcomes requests from approved education and training providers to speak to students about post-16 pathways, including further education, training and apprenticeships.

Requests for access should be made in writing to the Head of Education. Access will be granted where it supports students’ individual needs and pathways.
